My Go to Salad

Today on campus we had Patchwork Gardens from Yellow Springs, OH come with some fresh produce! I went over and bought some fresh tomatoes and mixed greens. I couldn't wait to eat them so I decided to create a salad. I've put together an easy recipe for my go-to-salad.

Ingredients
 Mixed Greens
Protein
 Vegetable
 Fruit
 Nuts
 Homemade dressing

This is the basic ingredient set to make a yummy and healthy salad. I used the mixed greens from the farm stand, some fresh carrots, raspberries, slivered almonds, and grilled chicken. For the dressing I usually just put olive oil and balsamic together. For this salad I did something a little different.

Homemade Dressing
1/4/ c Pomegranate Vinegar
3 T of lime infused olive oil
1 T of white sugar
1/2 t salt
1/2 t pepper
splash of orange juice

Let me know how this dressing works out for you, I estimated based on what I thought I used! Check out your local farm stand to add some fresh ingredients to your next meal!
