The Democratic Travelers

Happy Friday! I've been meaning to blog about this for awhile, but last week was so busy with the holiday that I didn't get the chance.
I've been following the trip of the Democratic Travelers for a few months now. For those of you that don't know about them, John and Laura left in February in an airstream trailer for a year long-journey around the country. But this isn't just any road trip; they are using their site to let anyone make recommendations about towns, restaurants, and events going on and users can vote on the best places to go. So far they have traveled 13 states and seen more in of America than many people will see in their lifetime.
I noticed they were heading north in California so I reached out to them on Twitter and Matt and I stopped by their campsite on our way back from Monterey. Their airstream trailer is awesome! It's been completely redone so it feels homey with a couch, a kitchen and bedroom. It was great hearing their stories about all the places they've gone and how much they've enjoyed spending so much time traveling.
I wanted to introduce you to them because their site (designed by John) is awesome and I'm sure everyone has some recommendations for places to go next. Laura also has a neat food blog about cooking in their new home! I can't wait to try some of her recipes when I get my kitchen back. You can follow them on all social media for updates. I can't wait to see where they head next :)
