One Year Anniversary Date

The 14th was Matt and I's one year dating anniversary! Last weekend was our school's fall break so we went back to my home in Chicagoland for a break. For our anniversary date we went to some of my favorite places in my hometown of Naperville. To start we saw Gravity. Great movie! So glad that we saw it before dinner though because I got a little bit of motion sickness.
We went to dinner at my favorite restaurant downtown Naperville called La Sorella di Francesca. They have very authentic Italian food and a romantic atomsphere. I had told them it was our anniversary so they put us in the front window at the best spot :)

I got my favorite pizza. It's called the quattro stagioni and has prosciutto, artichoke, mushroom, olive, and a fried egg! It's on a delicious wood oven crust. I get it every time.

Matt got an incredible meal. The Ravioli di Zucca is butternut squash ravioli with a veal reduction, tomatoes, shaved parmesan and tomatoes in a brown butter sage sauce. Talk about sweet and savory!
The restaurant treated us to Peach-cello to celebrate our anniversary. Delicious!

For dessert we headed down the street to Le Chocolat du Bouchard for cappuccinos and some chocolate cake.  It's entire bar and cafe dedicated to chocolate! They have alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and some very good desserts.

We had their chocolate mousse cake that had layers of mousse in between the most delicious cake. Thank goodness we split it! The cake slice was huge. It was chocolate perfection.
It was a great date and weekend together. In the next few weeks I'll be posting my recipe for our homemade anniversary dinner.
