Life Lately

Courtesy of Design Love Fest
The past 2 weeks have been some of the most stressful in my entire life. All of my class deadlines for final projects/papers/presentation have been crammed into the past two weeks as well as multiple job interviews. I've been tired, unhappy, and very overwhelmed. I haven't had time to make a meal or a workout and have literally been working from when I wake up in the morning to to when I go to bed at night. I still have one more week of this madness. My friends and group members have coined the term "Katy-busy" for my rushing around, trying to get things done.
Thanksgiving is my light at the end of the tunnel right now and then hopefully I can be done being Katy-busy. Its times like these that I curse my perfectionism and my choices to lead every group that I am a part of. My motto right now is "Done is better than perfect" and I can only hope I get the majority of my work done before I crash and burn.
Here are a few things keeping me sane right now:

1. Calm.com
This clever site and app allows you to choose a scenic background and time length for a short meditation. It's allowing me to take productive study breaks.

2. Levo League's #Inspiration Pinboard
Levo League is an online professional community of millennial women. They offer great articles with advice, style tips, resume and interview tips, ect. Last week they posted the above picture and I decided to print it out and keep it next to my bedroom door for whenever I leave the room. Their pinboard offers lots of great quotes to stay motivated.

3. Starbuck's Holiday Drinks
Last week, Starbuck's had a holiday drink happy hour. I had both the gingerbread latte and the carmel brûlée latte. I'm a huge fan of both, but especially the carmel drink. It tastes like Christmas in a cup. While there, I also picked up some of Starbuck's Christmas Blend for my Keurig. Might as well get a happy reminder for my month long Christmas break coming up!
