Superbowl Recipe Roundup

superbowl recipe roundup on katy's kitchen

I'm so excited for game day! I'm honestly not the biggest fan of football, but any sport that goes hand in hand with food is great. Being from Chicago, I'm a Bears fan, but I was born in Denver so I always root for the Broncos too. I'm so excited they made it to the Superbowl (but I couldn't tell you anything about their season.) This year, I'll be attending a party so I'm planning on bringing an appetizer and a dessert. This roundup has all the recipes you'll need if you're hosting or just going to a friend's house to watch!

Main Dish:
The first slow cooker Pulled Pork I ever made was this one! I absolutely love the smoky flavor. Great if you have time for it to simmer all day.
I posted this recipe pretty recently and I'm already craving it again! This is a great healthier option that packs some great flavor.

Superbowl guacamole

Appetizer:
My Guacamole
This is the perfect appetizer to bring over to someone else's house because it can be prepared just before and doesn't have to be reheated. This will probably be the first appetizer gone.....
Mexican Dip
This is what I'm bringing! Super, super easy. Just layer all the ingredients and then heat up once you get there. I'll be making a double batch :)
Mediterranean Orzo Salad
This is my favorite pasta salad. All the flavors are very fresh and it is a great healthy option.
Rainbow Flatbread Veggie Pizza from Gimme Some Oven
After seeing the pictures of this, I had to share. Talk about eating your colors! This gorgeous flatbread can easily be cut into small slices so that everyone can feel a little less guilty about eating this pizza.

Dessert:
Fruit Pizza
By far my most popular recipe, Fruit pizza is perfect for game day because it is easily made ahead of time, is pretty, and tastes incredibly awesome. Another dish that surely will not have leftovers.
Reese's Krispies from Oh, Sweet Basil
Umm yumm!!! I found these the other and think they look amazing. Reese's are my favorite candy so these bite-sized treats are perfect. I haven't tried them yet, but I plan on it soon :)

I will be making a new dessert for my superbowl party that I will be sharing on the blog next week. Hint hint : Chocolate + gluten free.
