Spring Book Recommendations

Paris in the spring

Things have been crazy this spring with getting ready for graduation so I ended up just compiling a list of some of the books I recommend.

1. Cold Tangerines by Shauna Niequist
If you've kept up with my other book posts, you'll know that I'm a big fan of Shauna Niequist. This vignette-style book is all about finding the good in the ordinary. Shauna tells her own tales of struggles and heartbreak and writes about the glimmers of hope that restore her faith in the everyday.

2. Europe Through the Back Door (2014) by Rick Steves
When planning for Matt and I's trip, I knew I wanted to get some travel books, but I didn't want to spend a fortune. We were going to 3 countries and multiple cities and I didn't want to have to buy huge guidebooks on each place. I happened to stumble upon this general travel book by Rick Steves for $1.99 on sale in the Kindle Appstore! It helped a ton. It gives a lot of general travel tips with detailed chapters on different types of travel (planes, trains, and automobiles) as information on packing, financials, ect.

3. The Here and Now by Anne Brashares
I'm pretty sure that this is considered young adult fiction, but I'm a big fan of Anne Brashares (author of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) so I picked it up. Its a thrilling story about a group of people that immigrate from the future to try to fix what we are doing wrong today to save our world for the future of mankind. There is some teen romance and lots of adventure. Great light read for the beach.
