Decoration Resources

Furnishing my first apartment has been no easy task! I've been collecting odds and ends that I find on sale or that are given as gifts, but there is so much more that you need once you actually move in. My first few days here I bought a bed and a couch, but since then I've been supplementing items as I can afford to. Here's where I'm looking for inspiration and buying from:

Ikea: I was able to get a bunch of frames as well as a $20 coffee table. I also bought a Rast chest that I shared a DIY on last week.

Target: I love Target, especially for their decorative items. I've got some great storage pieces such as baskets as well as some under the bed plastic bins. I've also picked up a few kitchen items. Be sure to keep an eye on their clearance as well. I got this serving tray for a steal!

Costco: Great for bed linens, bath mats, sheets, and pillows.

West Elm: I can't afford very much in this store right now, but I love ALL of their stuff and it gives me great ideas of what to look for at other places. I did find some great clearance items at one of their locations including a TV console.

Dot & Bo: I haven't bought anything from here yet, but I'm always keeping an eye on their deals and getting inspiration on their furniture.

Joss & Main: Similar to Dot & Bo. I've bought some smaller items from them before, but I'm keeping an eye on the deals for their wall decorations.

CB2: Crate and Barrel's cooler little sister. I love their modern designs. So far I haven't bought anything, but I'm keeping an eye on their sales. Also they have $5 shipping so thats a plus.

The Every Girl: TEG is a great blog with tons of life inspiration, but I especially love the home tours that they feature. I love seeing how people around the country put things together in their own homes and where they get it all from.
