Wedding Planning: Setting a Date

Wedding Planning
Once we realized we'd be planning a cross-country move and Matt would be in sales training program that would require some travel, we took a look at 2016 and said "Ehh, let's not stress ourselves out."

I'm not going to lie, I thought those couples were annoying. You know those couples. The ones that get engaged and have a forever engagement. I looked at it and thought "You can plan a wedding in a year!" Which you can. You can plan a wedding in even less, but with all the other variables happening this year, we decided to savor each season and have a long engagement.

We're getting married on May 27, 2017 in Naperville, IL, where I grew up. Yes that is a full year and half after we got engaged, but with everything going on with our move and Matt's job, we feel like we can get adequately settled, put down roots in a new city and plan a fabulous party without the unnecessary stress of a crunched timeline.

We're excited to be entering this new season as a couple and are even more excited to get down to the wedding planning details once we've moved :)
